A Shared Commitment to Community Wellbeing

Room to Breathe is building a voluntary, values-Led network of practitioners across Norfolk.

Our Vision is for a connected, compassionate community where people feel safe to talk, be heard, and access support before reaching crisis point.

We believe meaningful support doesn't always begin in clinical settings - sometimes it begins with a warm welcome, a cuppa, and a space where people can simply breathe.

This network is about connection over competition - Practitioners coming together to strengthen community wellbeing across Norfolk.

What is the Practitioners Network?

The Room to Breathe Practitioner Network is a collaborative community initiative bringing together trauma informed, inclusive, and preventative wellbeing professionals.

It is:

  • A space for collaboration and co-creation
  • A way to make community-based support more visible and accessible
  • An opportunity to reduce professional isolation
  • A platform for shared events, workshops, and awareness work

Our Values In Practice

Room to Breathe is rooted in four core values: Sanctuary, Community, Connection and Change.

Our Practitioner Network is one of the ways those values come to life.

Sanctuary

We believe support should feel safe, welcoming, and human. The spaces we create - whether workshops, drop-ins, or collaborative events - are grounded in calm, respect, and non-judgement. Support begins with presence, not pressure.

Community

Built by Norfolk, for Norfolk. This network brings local practitioners together to reduce isolation, share knowledge, and strengthen the support available across our communities. We believe wellbeing is stronger when it is rooted locally.

Connection

We are committed to connection over competition. Practitioners shouldn't have to work alone. Through collaboration, shared events, and mutual support, we create opportunities to build meaningful professional relationships that benefit both practitioners and the community.

Change

We believe in gentle defiance in action. By working collectively, we challenge stigma, increase visibility of preventative support, and advocate for a mental health landscape built on compassion rather than crisis response.

This network is more than a directory. It is a shared commitment to doing things differently - together.
